Bulgaria to apply for Eurozone waiting room before end of July

Bulgarian Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov told foreign reporters in Sofia that he expected Bulgaria to apply for membership in the Eurozone waiting room mechanism known as ERM-2 by July.

Reuters recalled that talks with the European Central Bank and Member States have already started with ERM-2. The news agency also points out that the European Commission and its head, Jean-Claude Juncker, have already stated that they support Bulgaria's plans and would provide it with expert and technical assistance in this regard.
