PM Boyko Borissov discusses Bulgarian-Russian relations with Russian ambassador Anatoly Makarov

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Russia’s ambassador to Bulgaria Anatoly Makarov conducted a working meeting to discuss the development of bilateral relations.

The two highlighted the energy industry and tourism as spheres of mutual interest. The Russian diplomat congratulated the Bulgarian Prime Minister on the start of the country’s rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU and on the convincing way in which he upheld its priorities at the European Parliament. He expressed the hope that Bulgaria will make efforts to improve the dialogue between the member states and Russia.
