No drilling for natural gas in General Toshevo, environment inspectorate says

The Experts’ Council of the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Waters in the Black Sea port city of Varna decided that there would be no drilling for natural gas in General Toshevo. This happened after the assessment report on the environmental impact of the investment proposal for extraction of natural gas on the territory of Dobrich region was rejected by majority.

The Protest Committee that are against gas extraction in the region thanked the participants in the series of protests on the case and recalled that 97% of General Toshevo residents said in a referendum that they did not want gas extraction on their territory.
