Between January and November 2017 Bulgaria’s exports to EU countries increased with 11.4% as compared to the same period in 2016, the National Statistical Institute announced. Meanwhile, exports from the EU also rose with 11.4%. Germany, Italy and Romania were Bulgaria’s biggest trade partners. Bulgaria’s export to non-EU countries increased with 10.7% in the same period and imports went up by 24.1%. According to the national statistics, 51.6% of the country’s export to non-EU countries was directed to Turkey, Russia, China, Serbia, Macedonia and Egypt. The largest amounts of goods were imported from Turkey, China and Serbia.
