EU Ministers of Culture meet in Sofia

The informal meeting of the EU Ministers of Culture is held in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia under the motto “Culture-an Inclusive value of the EU”. The event is part of the programme of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Culture should be promoted as an engine of economic and social development of the EU and the peace in Europe, the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Tibor Navracsics said at the forum. Commissioner Navracsics welcomed the fact that the topic related to social cohesion and European identity through education and culture was included in the agenda of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
