Serbian PM Ana Brnabic has said that it was "politically absurd" for Kosovo to attend the EU-Western Balkans Summit and pointed out that the European Commission was actually neutral on the issue of the status of Kosovo, while 5 strong EU members did not recognize Kosovo and just like Belgrade considered it "an area within the Republic of Serbia".
Brnabic said Belgrade's decision on whether to participate in the summit in Sofia on May 17 would depend on Pristina's actions related to forming Community of Serb Municipalities.
