Cyrillic .ею domain gaining popularity

The Cyrillic .eu (.ею) domain has been making considerable progress in the second year of its creation. Since the creation of the domain two years ago, new registered .ею domains are almost 2,000, with the total number of Cyrillic domains reaching over 3,000.

"Our main mission in EURid is to support the European Union's pursuit of multilingualism and cultural diversity in the Internet.The Cyrillic domain not only allows for easier access to new technologies in our native language, but also preserves our language among fellow citizens living around the world," said Plamena Argent, the Bulgarian manager responsible for this country in EURid - the organization that manages European domains on behalf of the European Commission.
