Bulgaria pays respect and bids last farewell today to great artist and public figure Svetlin Rusev, who passed away on Saturday, days before his 85th birthday.

"Artist with monumental touch, amazing skill, a public figure with sharp social sensibility, a passionate collector of art, a person of encyclopedic knowledge with diverse interests, who was able to defend his cause, whatever it cost him.A bright creator and thinker, whose powerful spiritual presence and influence reaches beyond geographic and time limits, even beyond death!,” reads a farewell message from fellow artists from the National Gallery "Square 500" in Sofia.
