11th Sofia Pride Parade to take place on June 9

The Sofia Pride Parade will be held on June 9 under the motto "Different People, Equal Rights!" According to organizers of the event, the parade should bring in public focus the right to equal living for LGBTI people. The calendar of accompanying events to Sofia Pride, including themed exhibitions, shows, film festival, sporting events and discussion forums, last for a whole month. Police are stepping up security measures for the march and because of three counter protests. Buffer zones will be organized and intoxicated people or those who carry weapons will not be allowed, it was reported.
