Bulgaria’s Kardzhali to host largest water festival in the Balkans

The Bulgarian Water Motorsport Federation and the Municipality of Kurdzhali organize the largest water festival in the Balkans that is to include powerboat racing, jet skis and flyboards and will take place in the period June 29 to July 1 near the city.

On June 29 and 30 there will be various types of water jet competitions in the Studen Kladenets Dam, including a freestyle event, as women and children will also take part. Meanwhile at the "Water Mirror" in downtown Kardzhali a powerboat race will take place, as well as parallel slalom for water jets.

The official opening is on Saturday night, June 30, at the Water Mirror, with a unique light show and a rock concert. The final series of the jet race will take place on July 1. Competitors from Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Greece and Hungary will take part in the events.
