The Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Greece - Boyko Borissov, Viorica Dăncilă and Alexis Tsipras together with Serbia's President Alexander Vucic have agreed during a four-way meeting in Thessaloniki to work on a common infrastructure ring linking the highways, railroads and ports of the four countries.

Following the meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council, PM Borissov pointed out that the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU was actually a Balkan presidency, and during it each country in the region was well presented. Focusing on the topic of development of infrastructure and transport connectivity of the region, Borissov commented that purposeful work in this direction was "real Balkan challenge".

The other participants in the Thessaloniki Summit have welcomed the results of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
