European Commission experts are beginning a 5-day inspection of the measures Bulgaria has been applying for localizing the outbreak of ovine rinderpest (sheep and goat plague). The economic restrictions that will be imposed on the country will depend on the results of the inspection.

The sheep and goat plague outbreak is also on the agenda of the National Assembly, where, at an extraordinary meeting of the Presidents’ Council, Interior Minister Valentin Radev will expound on the massive campaign for culling animals undertaken in the region of Bourgas and Yambol.
