The European Commission has approved the Bulgarian programme against double standards in food amounting to EUR 1.3 million, MEP Emil Radev announced at an extraordinary briefing. The programme envisages assistance to consumer organizations during tests of foods produced for Eastern and Western Europe. According to the program’s compilers, a central authority should follow the compliance with a single standard, so that the citizens in different EU member states have access to same quality food.
