Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Rumen Porodzanov announced in Silistra that the construction has begun of a fence along the land border with Romania.
Minister Porodzanov is in Silistra for a sitting of the coordination centre for identifying measures to minimize the danger of the spread of swine fever across the Bulgarian-Romanian border. A barbed wire fence, the aim of which is to stop wild animals from crossing over the border, is being put up in three sections. The other measures are disinfection, border control and visits to big pig farms for clarifying biosecurity measures.
