Project for extending lifespan of Kozloduy NPP Unit 6 going ahead successfully

Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova presented, in Sofia, the results of a project for extending the lifespan of Unit 6 of the Kozloduy NPP by 10 years.

Out of the 227 measures set down, 137 have been implemented, with another 70 to be applied by the end of the year. Kirill Komarov, Rosatom First Deputy Director General stated that cooperation between the Russian consortium and Bulgaria is developing marvelously, and that the extension of the lifespan of Units 5 and 6 of the Kozloduy NPP is an important project for him. Alongside repair work, Rosatom also has social commitments and is planning to build a sports complex in Kozloduy.
