The ruling of the Constitutional Court that the Istanbul Convention is not in compliance with the Bulgarian constitution, was, on the whole, welcomed by the political forces represented in parliament.
The ruling GERB party commented that they had acted responsibly by referring the matter to the Constitutional Court.
