DSK Bank concludes contract for the acquisition of Société Générale Expressbank

One of the leading banks in Bulgaria, DSK Bank, owned by the Hungarian OTP Bank, signed a contract for the acquisition of the French Société Générale Expressbank.

The contract is for 99.74 percent of SGE, which is currently holder of 6.7 percent of the market share and is the 7th biggest bank on the Bulgarian banking market.

DSK Bank is the second biggest creditor in the country, and after the acquisition of Société Générale, it is expected to increase its market share to around 19 percent.
