Bulgarian students admitted to universities in Great Britain meet before Brexit officially enters into force

Bulgarian first year students, admitted to universities in Great Britain, are meeting today for final consultations before they leave for the UK.

The students, admitted to universities for the 2018-2019 academic year, will be the last Bulgaria is sending before Brexit. They are the applicants who, as EU citizens, are entitled to student loans in full, even though Great Britain is leaving the EU.

The meeting is part of the World Education project, under which more than 50 percent of Bulgarians travel to Great Britain to study. More than 100 universities admit 1,200-1,500 young people from Bulgaria.
