Boyko Borissov calls for joint efforts in fight against terrorism

On the second day of his official visit to Israel Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov will meet his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu. Yesterday Premier Borissov participated at the annual conference of the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism held in the town of Herzliya. In his speech the Bulgarian Prime Minister called for joint efforts in the fight against terrorism. Premier Borissov pointed out that being an EU external border and a NATO member Bulgaria has made serious efforts to combat the spread of radical ideas. Boyko Borissov noted that the intelligence services of Bulgaria and Israel have achieved extraordinary synchronicity after the terrorist attack in Sarafovo in July 2012 which claimed lives of Bulgarian and Israeli citizens. Cooperation in security field will be on the agenda during the meeting between Premiers Borissov and Netanyahu.
