President of India Ram Nath Kovind visits Bulgaria

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind has arrived on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Bulgaria’s head of state Rumen Radev. During their meeting Presidents Radev and Kovind are expected to talk about the prospects for intensifying political dialogue, bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, cultural and educational exchange. India’s head of state is to deliver a public lecture at the Sofia University Saint Kliment Ohridski themed Education as an Instrument of Change and Shared Prosperity. On September 6 Presidents Radev and Kovind will unveil in Sofia a monument to the legendary leader of the Indian Movement for Independence Mahatma Gandhi.
