“To exclude and shut someone up are not European principles, they work against the European Union,” Bulgarian President Rumen Radev told journalists in a comment on the launch of the sanctions procedure against Hungary which may deprive it of its vote in the EU. He added that this is a complex and multi-vector question, and that Hungary’s policy should be viewed in all of its complexity.

On Wednesday the Bulgarian government adopted a decision to draft a position against the sanctions that may be imposed on Hungary.
