Minister Zaharieva at UN: Without the Western Balkans the EU will not be complete

At the ministerial meeting of the countries of the Central European Initiative (CEI) in New York, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva stated that the EU is a successful multinational project, but that without the Western Balkans it will not be complete.

Adding that during its Presidency of the Council of the EU Bulgaria broadened the support for enlargement of the EU, Minister Zaharieva expressed gratitude to Romania and Croatia that, during their own presidency, they will continue with this policy. The representatives of Albania and Macedonia thanked Bulgaria for its support for a start of accession negotiations.
