In relation with the expected torrential rainfalls in the coming days the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior has undertaken measures for prevention activities to deal with possible deterioration of weather conditions. Orange Code for heavy rain was issued for 5 Bulgarian districts on Monday. Precipitation in these districts will reach 25-40 liters per square meter and may exceed 50-60 liters per square meter in some areas. Code Yellow was issued for 13 Bulgarian districts. The competent authorities are monitoring carefully the water levels of the rivers and the technical condition of the dams and are making sure that the critical points in the road and sewerage infrastructure are clean. They are ready to assist the local authorities if some emergency situations occur.
