Policies for Bulgarians abroad should be national priority: Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova

It is about time the policies for the Bulgarians living abroad became a national priority, Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova pointed out during her visit to Ukraine. Vice President Yotova visited villages populated with ethnic Bulgarians-Zadunaevka, Babata and Zarya. The villages populated with people of Bulgarian descent in Bessarabia are facing problems such as poverty, the lack of road infrastructure, depopulation and shortage of young people. Bulgaria should clearly place the problem related to the development of this region to the Ukrainian authorities, Vice President Yotova further said.
