Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia quadrilateral summit in Varna is over

At a press conference after the quadrilateral summit meeting in Varna between Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Serbia, PM Boyko Boirssov stated that the aim of the countries taking part was to raise the level of energy, infrastructure and digital connectivity within the frameworks of the EU, which will make the union stronger.

Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras announced that he would be signing a joint declaration, with Boyko Borissov, on the modernization of the Alexandroupolis- Burgas rail connection and on building a speedway from Alexandroupolis to the region of Maritsa on the Bulgaria-Greece border.

The Prime Minister of Romania Viorica Dăncilă announced that next week, a national forum in Bucharest would be discussing the deepening of the Danube strategy in view of consolidating the Danube as a transport corridor between the West and the East of Europe.

The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic expressed gratitude for the support which Bulgaria, Greece and Romania render his country on its way to the EU.

The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, who took part in the Varna meeting at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart, stated that Israel can help Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Serbia raise the efficiency of their energy supplies.
