Police raid criminal gang trafficking in artifacts of cultural value

A specialized police operation on the territory of Spain and Bulgaria uncovered a Bulgarian criminal gang trafficking in cultural objects in Spain.

Thirteen people – nine from Spain and four from Bulgaria – have been detained, a procedure for their extradition to Spain is ongoing.

Around 30 600 objects of cultural value, as well as almost 200,000 euro were found during property searches at addresses in the two countries.
