PM Boyko Borissov urges EPP to come up with clear positions on Schengen enlargement

Addressing the congress of the European People’s Party, EPP, in Helsinki, the chairman of GERB party and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov urged the EPP to come up with clear positions on issues like Schengen enlargement with the accession of Bulgaria and Romania, and the future of the EU’s economic cohesion policy.

The GERB delegation supported Manfred Weber’s nomination for leading EPP candidate for the European Parliament elections in 2019. The congress is expected to adopt common positions on issues vital to Europe, such as security, migration, economic growth and the creation of new jobs.
