Over 2 million people are expected to visit Plovdiv in 2019 when the city will be European Capital of Culture, deputy mayor of Plovdiv Stefan Stoyanov announced. The organizers of Plovdiv-European Capital of Culture 2019 said that nearly 500 events will take place in different parts of the city.
