The Czech CEZ power supply company is beginning negotiations for the sale of its Bulgarian assets with the company ranked second – India Power.

CEZ told the Bulgarian National Radio that the negotiations with the Bulgarian company Inercom are continuing parallel with the talks with India Power. In a letter to the media, Inercom states that it is working on finalizing the deal and that it has a valid contract with CEZ.

The deadline in which, under the pre-contract concluded in February, Inercom undertook to pay over 320 million euro, expired at the end of November. The Commission for Protection of Competition did not approve the deal, and Inercom appealed the decision before the Supreme Administrative Court. On 20 November the Supreme Court annulled the Commission’s refusal to grant approval for the acquisition of CEZ’s Bulgarian assets by Inercom.
