Premier Borissov discusses Badr case with his Libyan counterpart Fayez al-Sarraj

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held a phone conversation with his Libyan counterpart Fayez al-Sarraj. Premiers Borissov and Sarraj discussed the issue related to the Libyan tanker Badr which was detained in November 2017 at the request of a Bulgarian private company which claims to have old accounts receivable from Libya. Fayez al-Sarraj thanked Premier Borissov and the Bulgarian government for its timely intervention and the demonstrated will to complete the case with a positive outcome for both countries. Premier Sarraj emphasized that a positive development of the events will send a strong signal for the future cooperation between Libya and Bulgaria and will give additional boost to their bilateral relations. Fayez Sarraj accepted Premier Borissov’s invitation to visit Bulgaria soon.
