The issue related to the Archbishopric of Ohrid is likely to be settled after the completion of the dispute on Macedonia’s new name, Bulgaria’s Patriarch Neophyte said. The head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church told BGNES agency that the important topic regarding the position of the Bulgarian Holy Synod on the autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church and its independence from the Moscow Patriarchate is yet to be discussed. The Ecumenical Patriarchate which issues the so-called tomos of autocephaly to the Orthodox Churches deals with the two controversial cases simultaneously.
