World Bank chooses Bulgaria for new office

Photo: library

Until the last moment Bulgaria was in bitter competition with Croatia and Serbia for the World Bank office.

The bank’s services centre will be tech-oriented and will be based in Sofia Tech Park, said Ilia Krastev from the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association. The major main reasons why Bulgaria was chosen include the exceedingly high standard of the IT sector in the country, the talented human resources, and the positive development of the business environment as a whole. The new centre is expected to open doors at the end of 2019.
