The Bulgarian head of state said that Bulgaria should refrain from giving its support to the European position on Venezuela.

On Wednesday, 6 February, the Bulgarian government recognized Juan Guaidó as interim president, with a view to the holding of democratic elections, soon, for a peaceful resolution of the crisis, preventing a humanitarian catastrophe and deterring any further escalation of tension in Venezuela.
