Russia calls on Bulgaria to defend extension of Turkish Stream through its territory

Some foreign factors are actively trying to cross out the opportunity for an extension of Turkish Stream through Bulgarian territory, Russia’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Anatoly Makarov wrote on Facebook. The future of Turkish Stream depends on Bulgaria’s readiness to defend the project before the European Commission and those who are against it, the Russian diplomat further commented. Asked when Russia would return the Bulgarian archives seized by the USSR during World War Two and whether it was normal for a foreign country to keep documents about Bulgarian history Ambassador Makarov said that these materials are accessible for the Bulgarian State Archive Agency and researchers and can be copied.
