Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Geogriev held talks with the leadership of the American Jewish Committee in Boston.

“Seventy-six years ago the Bulgarian people rose to the historical occasion and defended their Jews. We are grateful to the Jewish community of Bulgaria for its support in the transition to democracy and the country's accession to NATO and the EU, and for the enhancement of the bilateral dialogue with USA,” Georg Georgiev said. “In joining the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Bulgaria assumes a firm commitment to open debates and conduct in-depth studies of the history of the Holocaust and of zero tolerance of any acts of historical revisionism and antisemitism.”
