1.3 million people in Bulgaria are economically inactive: National Statistical Institute

The inactivity rate among Bulgarians in the 15 - 64 age bracket stands at an average of 28.5 percent - 24.1 percent for men and 33  percent for women, which brings the number of economically inactive people in the country up to a total of almost 1.3 million.

The employment rate in the same age group stands at 67.7 percent – 71.5 percent for men and 63.9 percent for women.
