Increase in bank deposits of households and businesses, and of crediting in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian National Bank has registered an increase in deposits in the country.

In February household savings were in excess of 26.6 billion euro. The annual growth rate of all savings accounts in Bulgaria stands at 9.1 percent and they exceed 40 billion euro. Crediting has also gone up – by 8.7 percent, with a total of over 29 billion euro extended as credit to households and businesses. Consumer loans have hit a record-high growth rate at 17.7 percent, mortgage credits are up by 11.3 percent
