President Trump’s assistant for manufacturing and trade policy Peter Navarro impressed by economic data for Bulgaria

At a meeting with Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva in Washington the Assistant to the US President, Director of Trade and Industrial Policy, Director of the White House National Trade Council Peter Navarro said he received excellent data about the Bulgarian economy and was impressed by the low unemployment levels in Bulgaria and the potential of the human capital in the field of high technologies and exact science. Minister Zaharieva and Peter Navarro discussed the development of the project for gas interconnector with Greece and Bulgaria’s interest in the project for LNG terminal in Alexandroupolis. Peter Navarro said he looks seriously at Bulgaria’s application for membership in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
