Germany’s President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visits Bulgaria

On April 4 and 5 the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier pays an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Bulgaria’s head of state Rumen Radev. Today President Steinmeier will discuss with his Bulgarian counterpart Radev and Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov bilateral topics and topical issues of the international agenda. The economic relations between Bulgaria and Germany will be in the focus of today’s discussions. Last year the bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Germany exceeded RUR 8 billion and Bulgaria had positive trade balance with Germany. The German direct investments in Bulgaria opened 35,000 permanent jobs.
