Danail Kirilov is the new Minister of Justice

Danail Kirilov, MP from GERB party, was sworn in as Minister of Justice.

He was elected by 120 votes "for" and 15 "against" in the National Assembly. With the voting of the government decision in parliament Tsetska Tsacheva is relieved of her duties as Justice Minister. Tsacheva submitted her resignation two weeks ago over the “apartment” scandal.

Danail Kirilov has a degree in law. He was regional governor of Sofia region (August 2009-May 2013), and then chair of the parliamentary committee on legal affairs.
