Bulgaria willing to support Brexit delay

Bulgaria will be represented by Premier Boyko Borissov at the extraordinary meeting of the European Council in Brussels today. The European leaders will discuss at the forum opportunities for delay of Brexit. Shortly before the sitting of the European Council the Bulgarian cabinet adopted a position which reads that Bulgaria would join a consensus for Brexit delay, if Great Britain supports such a request with clear arguments. Sofia believes that Great Britain’s withdrawal from the EU with a deal that envisages a transition period is the best option which would give enough time for the citizens and the business to adapt to the new conditions after Brexit.
