Bulgaria’s Parliament ratifies agreement with World Bank to open office of IBRD in Sofia

Bulgaria’s National Assembly ratified the agreement between Bulgaria and the World Bank to open an office of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Sofia. Over 300 highly-qualified experts in IT, finance, human resources and health sectors will be employed at the Bulgarian office of IBRD. Other functional units for outsourcing and shared services are also expected to be established in the region. The World Bank expects that the net revenues for Bulgaria from operations of the Bulgarian office of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development will exceed EUR 2.3 million in five years.
