Volkswagen starts talks for building factory on Balkans

German automotive giant Volkswagen Group is launching talks for building a new car factory on the Balkans.  Bulgaria, Serbia, Turkey and Romania have been competing over the investment. The company has been looking for a place for its new factory in the region since last year. According to information of the Bulgarian National Radio, the final stage of the race for the investment worth a billion and a half euros would involve Turkey and Bulgaria. The factory should be operational in 2022 and create 5,000 jobs.
