Three-quarters of Bulgarians live in big cities

73,7 % of the Bulgarians live in the big cities. Over one-third of the Bulgarians live in big cities whose population exceeds 100,000 people. That is why our main task is to stop the depopulation and create good living conditions in the smaller towns and villages by improving connectivity and mobility opportunities, Bulgaria’s Minister of Regional Development Petya Avramova said during the International Architecture and Engineering Forum SHARE Sofia 2019. Overurbanization is the challenge everyone involved in investment process faces and this is visible not only in Bulgaria, but in other countries as well Minister Avramova added.
