“Only by cooperating with one another can the countries of the region attain genuine diversification,” Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova said in Belgrade, Serbia, where a summit meeting is taking place dedicated to energy security in the region.
The forum is attended by cabinet ministers from Serbia, North Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Montenegro and Republika Srpska. Minister Petkova acquainted the participants with Bulgaria’s concept for the construction of a European gas distribution centre Balkan. By building the gas transmission infrastructure necessary it will help connect the natural gas markets in the region with one another, and through them – with the countries of Central and Western Europe.
