Plan for overcoming negative demographic trends has been approved in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian government has approved a plan for 2019 for the implementation of the updated National Demographic Development Strategy of the Bulgarian Population (2012-2030). Among the priorities of the document are slowing down the negative demographic processes and population decline, overcoming the negative consequences of aging population and limiting disproportions in its territorial distribution. Measures and actions have been envisaged, aimed at improving reproductive health of the population, providing employment and reducing poverty among young people, as well as ensuring equal access to quality education.
