The number of Bulgarian tourists is also the highest during the summer months when a little over 50 percent of annual tourist trips take place. In autumn about 1.7 million foreign tourists visit Bulgaria, while winter comes second after summer when the number of tourists is concerned. The weakest season is spring - with 1.1 million foreign visitors, the expert said.
