EU expects that Bulgaria’s and North Macedonia’s joint Presidency of the Berlin Process will give new impetus to regional cooperation

Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva participated at the informal meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers (Gymnich) in Helsinki on August 29 and 30. The ministers discussed the challenges of hybrid threats and assessed highly the work of the European Center of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats in Helsinki. A discussion between the EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Ministers of the Western Balkan countries was held. The ministers voiced expectations that Bulgaria’s and North Macedonia’s forthcoming joint Presidency of the Berlin Process will give a new impetus to regional cooperation.
