Bulgaria and Norway join efforts to help Western Balkan countries

Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva met in Sofia with her Norwegian counterpart Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide. Bulgaria and Norway will work to assist the Western Balkan countries, Ministers Zaharieva and Søreide said. They will turn their efforts on the development of the young people, the education and the small and medium-sized enterprises in the Western Balkans. Ministers Zaharieva and Søreide agreed that Bulgaria and Norway should increase bilateral trade and develop more common projects. Minister Zaharieva emphasized the exceptional contribution of Oslo to the development of various spheres financed under the Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Bulgaria. The Crisis Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the successful projects, Minister Zaharieva pointed out. This is the first visit of Norwegian Foreign Minister in Bulgaria in the past 15 years.
