Bulgaria’s efforts to modernize the educational system continue, but the quality and the applicability of educationn at the labor market remain a challenge, an assessment of the European Commission presented today reads. In view of the demographic trends, Bulgaria should invest more in improving the competence and skills of the adults. Only 2.5% of the Bulgarians aged 25 to 64 participate in educational activities, whereas 11.1% of the adults in the EU take part in such activities.
